Mr. Siraj Kassam Teli, Chairman, Businessmen Group and Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry strongly refuted and condemned the contents of publication/press release issued by Pakistan Steel Re-rolling Mills Association.
He said in a press release that his letter addressed to the President of Pakistan and other high dignitaries has not been clearly perused by the said association. He said that his letter has not been addressed in respect of any individual and the said association as unjustifiably presumed wrongful inference about themselves. This highly objectionable based on deliberate and unwarranted misconstruction of the contents of his letter have been published on the instance of others having vested interest and self styled group leaders.
He further said that it is his bonafide exercise of lawful and constitutional right to address the higher authorities of his country for redressal of legitimate grievances and seeking scrutiny and verification according to law and TOO 2007 containing fair comments on matters of public interest.
He further said, if any association or body is genuine and in conformity with the provisions of law such body should not worry about his letter and instead they should obey the law and refrain from issuing baseless gossips.
He stressed the PSRMA for withdrawal of their press release mentioning unconditional apology as he reserves right to claim heavy damages and other relief for malicious and actionable defamation and libel by the said association by publishing in the print media.
