Stone laying Ceremony of water supply from Keeenjhar lake to site Nooriabad.

Karachi : (MO) "Govt is striving hard to provide modern infrastructure and facilities to industrialists and Water supply project to SITE Nooriabad is a solid example of this commitment". This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce while speaking after the stone laying ceremony of Rs1064.133 million Water supply pipeline project that would bring water from Keenjhar lake to SITE Nooriabad.
He said Govt is working in Interior Sindh to promote industrialization and is providing state of the art infrastructure, ten years tax exemption and allotment of industrial plots on easy installment to industrialists so that they can contribute to growth of the province and country.He instructed to establish a three member team, consisting on industrialists, to monitor the progress of the project and reporting to the minister.
He appreciated the efforts of Mr. Ali Ahmed, Secretary Industries, Mr. Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, Managing Director S.I.T.E, Shams-Uddin Sehto, Chief Engineer, for this project and instructed to take all measures to complete the two years project within eight months. He said the best way to eradicate poverty is to create jobs by bringing in investment which is only possible if we can provide the facilities of global standard in our industrial estates.
The minister said that the importance of the availability of water in the industrial processes can not be underscored. We may have sufficient power, energy and road network but the entire industrial process would come to halt if clean water is not provided to the industries, he added. The minister regretted that industrialization potential of the province has not been fully exploited. "Sindh could become the hub of export oriented industries if the bottlenecks impeding the industrialization are removed" he added.
He warned Govt officers who delay the process and advised them to work diligently. Provincial industries minister said that seeing a vacant industrial plot or a sick non-operative industrial unit always hurt as it means loss of countless job opportunities that could be created utilizing the plant. He said the Sindh government is fully committed to ensure that all the industrial estates in this province operate to their full capacity. The Minister assured the businessmen that government is fully aware of the bottlenecks that are impeding productivity.
He said that both provincial and the federal government are making coordinated efforts to remove all difficulties in this regard. Industries and Commerce Minister said that the provincial government has embarked on revamping the infrastructure in all industrial estates. The allocation of funds in this regard has been generous, he added. Mr. M. Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, MD S.I.T.E said on the occasion that, Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce, Rauf Siddiqui has a mission to industrialize the province on international standard.
Under his visionary leadership modern infrastructure is being provided to industrial zones and SITE Nooriabad Water Supply Pipeline Project is surely a big relief for industrialists. The businessmen present on the occasion complimented the minister for his untiring efforts in reviving the industrial wheel of the province. They said that neglected infrastructure was the main cause of slow down in industrialization process.
They said even basic necessities like availability of water was neglected in the past that increased the cost of doing business.Mr. Ali Ahmed , Secretary Industries, Mr. Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, Managing Director S.I.T.E, Shams-Uddin Sehto, Chief Engineer for this project Mr. Ahmed Nawaz Jagirani Director Administration / DMD were also present on the occasion.
