Mr. Kyong Yong Kim, Chief of Mission & Consul General, Embassy of Republic of Korea and Mr. Yong-Hwa Jung, Director, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Authority KOTRA, Korea Trade Center , Karachi visited Federation House Karachi on Friday March 13, 2009.
Mr. Sultan Ahmad Chawla, President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry FPCCI showed Pakistan's full interest in expanding trade and exports to Korea. Korea is a potential market for Pakistani exporters in leather goods, textile, and Petroleum products. He lauded KOTRA's efforts in promoting Trade between Pakistan and Korea Mr. Zakaria Usman, Vice President FPCCI urged Korea to provide access to Korean Markets and setting up of JV's by Korean private sector with Pakistan 's Private sector. He mentioned that Korea should enhance re-exports to Pakistan . He also recommended Korea Trade Center to hold Single Country Exhibition and invite Pakistani businessmen to various Trade Exhibition and Fairs in Korea enabling volume of Trade between Korea and Pakistan to accelerate.

In the meeting it was also decided that FPCCI will soon take a trade delegation to Korea and explore their very potential markets which will eventually increase exports to Korea and similarly Korean Businessmen should also visit and explore Pakistan 's business potential and hold B2B meetings.
Mr. Sultan Ahmad Chawla, President FPCCI extended his full support to KOTRA and assured that their problems will be taken to the highest concerned authority for solving them in an efficient manner enabling trade and commercial activity with Korea to strengthen.
Mr. Zakaria Usman, Mr. Mumtaz Ali Sheikh and Mr. Mansha Churra Vice Presidents FPCCI, Mr. S.M.Muneer former President FPCCI and President Indo-Pak CCI, Dr. Mushtaq Noorwala and Mr. M.A.Lodhi Secretary General FPCCI also attended the meeting.
