Mr. Sultan Ahmed Chawla, President FPCCI has nominated Mr. Abdullah Rafi as Chairman of FPCCI Standing Committee on Corporate Farming. The purpose of the Standing Committee is to boost mechanized farming in a scientific way. Mr. Abdullah is a prominent and leading industrialist of Pakistan and is an associate engineer by education and has vast experience in construction, textile, banking, steel, amusement (park) industries and served chairman and director in companies working in these sectors.
He has worked in land development for Residential and Commercial projects and served (former and current) as director on the Boards of MCB Bank, KESC, SITE Ltd, Siddiqsons Tin Plate, Aladdin Park and Siddiqsons Industries. He has also served on the senior most positions on SITE Association, Workers Welfare Board and APTPMA (All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association).
He has been given the task to lead the committee on corporate farming of FPCCI. This will include Pooling up the resources to explore the agriculture potential of the country on modern lines. Recently FPCCI sent a delegation to the UAE and he was given the task to present Pakistans agriculture Potential to the Arab states.
He is also progressive corporate farmer himself having gained his practical and theoretical exposure by conducting research on the best practices by leading countries on Wheat, Cotton, Fish farming, Organic Fertilizer, and associated corps. Mr. Abdullah Rafi has invited experienced people to join the committee as member to contribute in the growth of agriculture.
