Citibank NA Pakistan and ORIX leasing Pakistan signed an agreement on Tuesday for renewing the provision of the POS terminal facility to Visa and MasterCard Credit Card holders in Pakistan.
The initiative maximises benefits and convenience to Visa and MasterCard customers, by providing them a facility of using their credit cards at various Citibank Merchant touch points across the country.
Citibank and ORIX enjoy a long-standing partnership and this initiative is the extension of a collaboration that ORIX and Citibank jointly undertook in 2003. As a result of this agreement, Citibank and ORIX successfully entered into an agreement to provide acquiring services to credit card customers. Renewal of this partnership underscores their joint aim to consolidate and bolster this relationship in the retail acquiring space. Most importantly, if offers the POS terminal value proposition not only to Citibank credit card customers, but to all Visa and MasterCard customer in Pakistan.
Speaking at the singing ceremony, Citi Pakistan's Consumer Business Head Azim Alvi said, "Our POS terminal facility enhances customer convenience, by providing credit card access to Vise and MasterCard customer at an array of touch points.
