Young Entrepreneurs encouraged to convert indigenous product into value-addition

"Govt., to facilitate the Business Community of Hyderabad, should arrange frequent flights of National Airliner from Hyderabad to upcountry and upgrade the Hyderabad Airport for Air Cargo & better services to commuters", expressed by Anjum Nisar, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry during his address to "The Best Business Award Ceremony" organized by Junior Chamber International - Prime Hyderabad.
President KCCI was invited as Chief Guest for distribution of awards and to deliver lecture to young entrepreneurs. "Entrepreneurship development is a national imperative to climb-up the economic ladder. Economic history of developed world clearly demonstrates the vital role played by Entrepreneurship in their rapid growth through innovation, productive employment and optimum utilization of meagre resources", President KCCI asserted.
While addressing to the young entrepreneurs, President KCCI emphasized on value-addition of Pakistan's indigenous products in general and Sindh in particular. He stressed on value-added export of Sindhri Mango, Shikarpur Pickle, Khairpur Dates, Sindhi Topi & Ajrak, Hala handicraft, Sukkur Chuhara and other traditional indigenous products on the concept of "one village one product".
He advised the young entrepreneurs for skill-oriented training and education to start their SME ventures. He stated that the Entrepreneurship in SMEs entails enhancement of the competitiveness of the economy and generation of additional employment. SMEs were assisting in regional and local development since they accelerate rural industrialization by linking it with the more organized urban sector. He also urged the Govt. to convert Makli, Gorkha Hill Station, Moenjo-daro into tourist attractions on Public & Private Partnership basis.
Founder JCI Pakistan Mansoor Quettawala, JCI Senator Rizwan Ahmed, President Shahab Ali Nawaz, Secretary General Umair Soneja, Sr. Officials Wasif Iqbal, Anwar Kashif Mumtaz also spoke to the ceremony. JCI officials expressed their gratitude to KCCI for supporting them in their ventures. President KCCI also distributed crests, awards & certificates to the officials of various companies qualified for the business awards. KCCI Managing Committee Members, leading businessmen & dignitaries of Hyderabad also attended the award cereny.
