Professor Farhat Masood has done M.Sc in Chemistry from University of Sindh.
She is the former Principal of St. Lawrence Government College. She started
her career as a teacher of Chemistry in St. Lawrence Government College, and
continued in the same college up to her retirement. Served as the Principal
for 13 years imparting quality education with dedication and sincerity. She
has organized various workshops, science exhibitions and seminars of
chemistry as a permanent member of Chemical Society of Pakistan in different
colleges and universities with the coordination of Board of Intermediate
Education, Directorate of Colleges and various Universities. She has also
attended training courses at NIPA and workshops in educational planning for
Principals.
Mr. Adil M. Butt A famous name, is amongst the Board of Governors of the
institution .He has done his B.Sc in Management with minor in Psychology
from the University of Indiana. MBA in Professional Accounting from New York
USA. He is basically a well-educated and well-determined person. He showed
real and sincere attachment with the institution.
Professor Farhat Masood told to Business Monitor in an exclusive interview
that CAMS was established in 1994 as a private college sponsored by a group
of professionals from fields of education, accounting, management, law and
computer science, dedicated to providing students with jobs oriented
professionals accountancy courses. In 1994, CAMS was the first college to
get affiliation from the "Institute of Charted Accountants of Pakistan". She
further told that our academic strength & established credibility in the
field of business education enabled us to offer MBA, PGC and B. COM degree
programs in affiliation with University of Karachi. She, being pleasure
pinpointed that CAMS Karachi has been awarded Premier Status by ACCA -UK,
the first college in Pakistan to achieve this distinction. While briefing
about the branches she mentioned that Today CAMS Hyderabad branch offers an
array of courses related to accounting and business management namely CA (MFC)-
ACCA / CAT - UK & B.Com in affiliation with University of Sindh. While
talking about their admissions policies and seasons, she amused the business
monitor that Intermediate admissions open in May, and continue till August.
Classes commence usually from mid of August. Degree classes' admissions
usually begin in January & classes commence from February. Admissions are
strictly on merit, based on the results of last examination. All admissions
are subject to passing of CAMS aptitude test & Interview. In response to a
question Mr. Adil M. Butt declared that there ought to be a one-education
system and he emphasized the need of Federal Education System in the
country. Farhat Masood was of the same view that there should be equal
education system in the country. In a message to the business monitor both
of the view that character building should be there for the exaltation and
protection of education system in Pakistan so that we could run our country
betterly. |
