The 5th China-South Asia Business Forum (CSABF) started in June, 2010 at Kunming City, Yunnan Province China with the aim to bring business community of South Asia closer to their counterparts in China and exploring new business potential in Asian region. Mr. Tariq Sayeed, Patron-in-Chief Pakistan-China Business Council of FPCCI and Former President SAARC CCI & FPCCI, Mr Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General, SAARC CCI left Pakistan accompanied by more than 100 businessmen attended this Forum and Exhibition.

All businessmen participated in the forum and setup stalls to display large variety of Pakistani products in Kunming Fair. Many businessmen/exhibitors from all over the World will also attend this forum under the theme "Strengthening China-South Asia Cooperation on the Road to Global Economic Recovery". Syed Muhibullah Shah, Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan will also attend the said event.

It's worth mentioning here that Mr.Tariq Sayeed, Patron-in-Chief Pakistan-China Business Council of FPCCI has been nominated for advisory Panel of China South Asia Business forum and will participate in the inaugural meeting of advisory panel of CSBF scheduled on 6th June. The organizers of this forum especially visited Pakistan to extend invitation for this forum. Mr. Sultan Chawla, President, FPCCI was also invited in the said forum but due to Federal Budget for the year 2010-11, to be presented on June 05, 2010, he could not participate.

The forum comprises of inaugural session, followed by two parallel sessions. The inaugural session will be addressed by Governor of Yunnan Province, Chairman of CCPIT, Deputy Minister of Finance & Planning, Sri Lanka, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Maldives, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Afghanistan and Mr. Annisul Huq, President, SAARC CCI.

Mr. Tariq Sayeed, will moderate the session on "Finance Cooperation and Reciprocal Collaboration among Enterprises" on 5th June, which will be addressed by Chairman, Centre for Promotion of India-China Cooperation, President, Yunnan Zhonghao Real Estate Co., LTD, Chairman, CCC, President, BCCI, President, Bangladesh Indenting Agents' Association, Chairman, Nepal China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The parallel session on "Governments' Stimulating Policies" will be addressed by Ambassadors of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, President, FCCISL, Vice President, DCCI, and Mr. Syed Muhibullah Shah, Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Mr. Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General, SAARC CCI will speak at session on "Seeking Mutual Cooperation to harness business opportunities" specifically on strengthening institutional linkages. Mr. Sayeed will also share his views at "Seminar on Southeast and South Asia: Investment Policies Introduction and Projects Promotion" to be held on 7th June, 2010. Mr. Tariq Sayeed will also inaugurate the Liaison office of FPCCI in Kunming city on June 9th, 2010.
