KARACHI: Managing Director PIA, Captain Mohammad Aijaz Haroon and Managing Director Abda Aviation Malaysia, Mr Zainal Abidin, signed an agreement at PIA head office appointing Abda Aviation as PIA's exclusive Cargo General Sales and Service Agent in Malaysia.

Speaking on the occasion Managing Director PIA, Captain Mohammad Aijaz Haroon said that PIA has an aggressive strategy for increasing its selling base and presence to capture larger market share. GSSAs have been appointed in UK, Bangladesh and Hong Kong earlier this year, he added.

These objectives are being achieved through multi pronged strategies and the appointment of Cargo GSSA in Malaysia is one such example, he pointed out.

Managing Director PIA, Captain Mohammad Aijaz Haroon said that PIA's belief of satisfying its customers through professional business partners would not only result in improved business for the airline but would also help in cutting down the operational costs.

The airline is also planning to appoint Cargo GSSAs for its valued customers in United Arab Emirates, Spain and Denmark in coming weeks; he said that PIA is presently operating two flights to Kula Lumpur from Pakistan with wide bodied A-310 aircraft.
