PTCL announced to open a Help Desk at KCCI and
special packages would be offered to KCCI members, said Abdullah Yousef
Abdulla, SEVP of PTCL at KCCI.
Mr. Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad, President of KCCI briefed the role of KCCI
and its importance and protecting and promoting the businesses of Mini
Pakistan
and how this affects economy of the country. While discussing the
performance of PTCL staff, he revealed that CEO and Karachi based Management
of PTCL are properly coordinating with KCCI for resolving their issues.
Khurram Saigal, Chairman, Communication, Sub-Committee of KCCI pointed the
issues facing by KCCI members that Bills being received by PTCL Customers
are reflecting the arrears despite the bills paid within due date of every
month, Excessive Billing issue has never been resolved as it was previously
assured by PTCL, PTCL staff take much time to rectify the faults of out of
order, dead and noisy telephone lines, late bills are delivered to PTCL
Customers which create problems for our members through paying the bills
after due date.
He suggested to change the due date of bills from 21st date of the month to
an earlier date, Areas indicated to the President of PTCL have not yet been
faultless. KCCI expects that PCTL should take corrective measures to find
permanent solution in the indicated areas. He suggested that matters
discussed earlier be resolved with immediate effects. He put proposals from
KCCI that special discounted packages of telephone lines and DSL connections
should be offered to KCCI members by PTCL.
New connections should be provided to KCCI members within 24 to 48 hours,
PTCL should convert its landline connections with the same PTCL number of
Wireless connections. He also proposed that an officer of GM level should be
deputed as a coordinator with duplicate bill facility for KCCI members for
responding swiftly to relevant complaints.
Javed Ahmed Vohra, Vice President of KCCI appreciated Khurram Saigal and
Shahid ISmail, Advisor of the said Sub-Committee and Chairman, F.B. Area
Association of Trade & Industry (FBATI) that they are energetically
performing their duties and serving KCCI members. He welcomed the house and
requested members to forward their complaints and inputs regarding any issue
to perform better way for protecting the interest of the business.
Shahid Ismail thanked to SEVP of PTCL and appreciated and highlighted the
performance of PTCL that after assuming the charge of SEVP by him. Later he
said that to implement the suggestion of KCCI passed in that meeting
regarding the telephone lines remained out of order for the last 20days may
not charged line rents.
In his address, Abdullah Yousef Abdulla expressed his sincere thanks to the
President of KCCI and Office Bearers, Chairman and Managing Committee
members for inviting him at KCCI. After listening all suggestions and
proposals of KCCI, he said that every one is welcomed to approach PTCL
regarding any problem being faced by KCCI. He said that new Management of
PTCL is working day and night for finding the solutions of the problems as
Khurram Saigal indicated earlier.
He said that this is the key object to be attached with Business Community
and keep providing uninterrupted services to the valued customers. He said
that development works are going on in the City, therefore in some areas, we
are facing the problems which would be resolved soon. He announced that
special discounted packages would be offered to KCCI members besides opening
Help-Desk at KCCI after a day. He also assured that a rebate Line Rents may
be considered of those telephone lines which remain out of order atleast
20days through Customer Care Centres of PTCL.
